AADSAS (Associated American Dental Schools Application Service)

Associated American Dental Schools Application Service (AADSAS)

The Associated American Dental Schools Application Service (AADSAS) is a service available to all students applying to the 55 dental schools participating in the application service. AADSAS simplifies the application process by providing one standardized form instead of students needed to complete multiple applications; while, dental schools benefit by receiving uniform information on all applicants.

AADSAS serves only as an information clearinghouse and does not influence the dental schools' appraisal or selection of applicants. Furthermore, each dental school has the right to request supplemental information from the applicants.

The 2010 AADSAS Application Cycle begins June 1, 2009.

Date to create an application and submit materials to AADSAS will be June 1, 2009.

Applicants from the 2009 AADSAS Application Cycle who wish to re-apply for the 2010 AADSAS Application Cycle must complete an entirely new application.

Information of re-applicants is not carried over to the current application cycle.

New and re-applicants must submit a new application including all new required documents.

Collect your student copies of transcripts from any colleges/universities you attended.

Organize them; this will prepare you for entering data to your application.

Request your official transcript from the registrar prior to completing the application.

Print the Transcript Request Card available on the American Dental Education Association (ADEA) website.

Send it to the MIT Office of the Registrar.

       Request your Letters of Evaluation/Recommendations.

Recommenders are now able to submit letters of evaluation to AADSAS in printed hard copy or via an online submission process.

For recommenders who wish to submit hard copy letters, print the Letter of Evaluation Matching Form from the AADSAS webpage and ask your evaluators to submit your letter with the form attached.

For recommenders who wish to submit their letters online, you will be prompted inside the AADSAS application to provide recommender email addresses; AADSAS will contact these individuals via email to provide submission instructions.

Complete your application online early; do not wait until the last minute.

Submit your electronic application in early June.

Follow the timetable schedule to organize better your time.

Dental schools associated to the AADSAS are provided with a credential service. This benefit is designed to give a most efficient dissemination of letters of recommendation when entering to some Dental or Health Related Professional program.
