Thompson Institute was founded in 1918 as Beckley College, a business school offering vocational training to students in Harrisburg, Pennsylvania. Although the name and ownership of the school has changed over the years, our focus on quality education remains strong. In October 1982, Thompson Institute opened a branch campus in Philadelphia, offering many of the same programs as the Harrisburg campus. Nearly 25 years later, Thompson Institute continues to offer outstanding career education in Philadelphia.



At Thompson Institute, we aim to provide a supportive learning environment where you can focus on your education and get the training you need to pursue a promising new career. When you contact us,

In order to be considered for admittance, you must provide evidence that you meet one of the following requirements:

• Are a high school graduate
  
• Possess a GED certificate
  
• Possess a Home Study certificate or transcript from a Home Study program that is equivalent to high school level and is recognized by your home state
  
• Are beyond the age of compulsory school attendance and demonstrate the Ability to Benefit (ATB) from the training by passing an independently administered test
